Buddy Bot, a small round robot with a dark screen face showing a terminal prompt
  • Working

A session is busy. His screen says so, and you can leave it alone.

  • Needs your permission

A session is waiting on you to approve something. He lets you know.

  • Done

A session finished. No more checking every window to find out.

Sound familiar?

To err is human. To multitask is superhuman.

The coffee that cost you twenty minutes

You kick off a big change and step away for a coffee. Claude finishes in four minutes, or stops to ask permission, and the session sits there waiting while you chat by the espresso machine.

With Buddy: he hops and says it out loud the moment a session finishes or needs a yes, so the work never waits on your coffee.

The command in the wrong window

Seven sessions, one tired brain. You type the next instruction into the session for a different project, and that change bleeds into code it was never meant for.

With Buddy: his screen tells you which project is talking, and one click takes you to the session that actually needs you, so your next command lands where you meant it.

Seven sessions, one little guy.

What he does

He keeps an eye on your sessions so you don’t have to.

Session alerts on his screen

Buddy watches your Claude Code sessions through the hooks he installs, and his little screen shows what's happening: working, needs your permission, or done.

Click to jump

When a session needs you, click Buddy. He brings that session to the front, so you skip the hunt through terminal tabs and windows.

Hand off an idea

Dictate an idea while it's fresh and hand it to a session. You keep working on what you were doing.

Headphones and music

Double-click and he puts his headphones on and plays or pauses your music.

Eight looks, eight voices

Buddy Bot, Doc, Biz Doctors Blue, Witch, Vampire, Pumpkin, Mummy and Ghost. Each one has its own voice.

What you need

  • A Mac on macOS 13 (Ventura) or later.
  • Claude Code, installed. Buddy reads your sessions through hooks he installs for you.
  • Optional: a natural on-device voice for Apple Silicon Macs, a one-time download of about 1.5 GB. Without it he uses the voices built into macOS.
  • Signed and notarized by Apple. Sold here as a direct download, not through the App Store.

Privacy

  • Buddy runs on your Mac. There's no account to make.
  • No tracking or analytics in the app.
  • Your license is checked on your Mac. He doesn't call home.
  • Nothing leaves your Mac except the Claude Code requests you make yourself, like an idea you hand off to a session.
  • The natural voice runs on your Mac too.

Questions

Before you buy

Anything else? Email cory@spokanebizdoctors.com.

What do I get for $9?

A license key and a download link for Buddy for Mac, shown on screen right after checkout and sent to your email. It's a one-time purchase, with no subscription, and every 1.x update is included.

What does Buddy need to run?

A Mac on macOS 13 (Ventura) or later, and Claude Code installed. After you open him, choose Install Claude Code Hooks from his menu so your sessions show up on his screen. The natural voice is optional and runs on Apple Silicon Macs; without it, he uses the voices built into macOS.

Is Buddy an official Claude Code app?

No. Buddy is an independent app made by Spokane Biz Doctors. He works with Claude Code, but he isn't made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic. Questions about Buddy come to us.

Does Buddy send my data anywhere?

No. Buddy runs on your Mac. There's no account and no tracking in the app, and your license is checked on your Mac without calling home. The only things that leave your Mac are the Claude Code requests you make yourself, such as an idea you hand off to a session.

Why isn't Buddy in the App Store?

He's sold directly as a download. The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it like any App Store app.

How do I get updates?

Use the download link in your purchase email. It always serves the newest version, and every 1.x update is included in your $9.

What if Buddy doesn't work for me, or I want a refund?

Email cory@spokanebizdoctors.com within 30 days from the address you bought with, and you get a full refund, no questions asked. If something's wrong, tell us what happened: Cory, who made Buddy, reads every message and handles refunds himself. The full refund policy and license are at spokanebizdoctors.com/buddy/license.
